GCFS presents, ‘Synergy’, our 2026 show in aid of Young Lives vs. Cancer
GCFS is thrilled to announce our 2026 show, Synergy, in partnership with our sponsors. The show will take place on February 21st at the iconic Old Fruitmarket in Merchant City. Essence will be GCFS’ 12th show, and will be the biggest event of our year long campaign in aid of our wonderful charitable partner Young Lives vs. Cancer, whom you can read more about on the Charitable Partner page of our website. The show is open to anyone and everyone and is the party of the season! It’s the perfect excuse to get dressed up with your friends and enjoy the glitz and glamour of one of Glasgow’s biggest student led events, and all in the name of a good cause.

The show will feature three different ticket packages, including the VIP Platinum Package, as well as the classic VIP and Standard tickets. All ticket packages are now live on Fixr, with Standard Tickets selling out of our Early Bird, First and Second Release in just five minutes! FAQ’S
What is the dress code?
The dress code for SYNERGY is black tie, but the most important thing is for you to feel true to yourself!
Can VIP Classic ticket holders go back to the Pre Party area after show begins?
No, due to capacity concerns, Classic VIP ticket holders must remain downstairs in the Main Room following the start of the show.
Can VIP Platinum ticket holders go down into the Main Room during the show?
No, again due to capacity issues, Platinum VIP ticket holders must remain in the Platinum Viewing Area and Bar during the show, but will be permitted entry to the Main Room at the start of the OFM After Party.
Do VIP ticket holders have to drink all their complimentary drinks during the Pre Party?
VIP tickets holders do not have to finish their complimentary drinks during the Pre Party, and are welcome to bring them into the viewing areas during the show as long as they are decanted into plastic cups provided.
Is there a cloakroom at The Old Fruitmarket?
Yes, there is a cloakroom! Classic VIP and Platinum VIP ticket holders have one free cloakroom place included with their ticket. For Standard Ticket holders and further VIP items, the cloakroom is £2 per item but please note that the cloakroom is card-only and they do not accept cash.
Accessibility Information
We at GCFS want to ensure a positive experience for all guests attending the show and so are committed to reasonably accommodating all accessibility requirements to the best of our ability. All necessary accommodations should be emailed to accessibility@gucfs.co.uk as soon as possible. You should receive a response within 5 working days. This includes guests of all ticket packages, and we encourage those planning to buy standard tickets who will need accommodations to also message prior to standard launch. When emailing, please detail the accommodations required, including what accessible seating is needed. This email is monitored by essential team members only and information will be kept securely. If you do not receive a response within 5 working days please DM us on instagram or email president@gucfs.co.uk to ensure your message has been received.
It is crucial to note that any accommodations that are not arranged with GCFS prior to the show may not be possible to implement on the day of the event.
The Old Fruitmarket is an accessible venue with disabled bathroom and lift, and accessible seating can be arranged during the show. It is important to note that there is no seated viewing for the show itself outside of accessibility seating, so any guest attending who would be unable to stand for the two segments of the main catwalk show, approximately 40 minutes each, should email GCFS regarding arranging accessible seating.
While there is no seating in the main room from which Classic VIP and standard ticket holders will be watching the show, there is seating in the downstairs bar which will be accessible throughout the night. There is also seating within the upstairs bar which will be accessible to VIP and Platinum ticket holders during the pre show, and to Platinum ticket holders throughout the rest of the evening.
Please also note that loud music, bright stage lighting and flash photography will be in use throughout the venue during the event.
