7 YOUNG PEOPLE ARE DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER EVERY DAY IN THE UK.
Teenage Cancer Trust provides world class cancer service for 13- 24 year olds diagnosed within the UK. Every day seven young people hear the devastating news they have cancer; they need the support, care and experience provided by Teenage Cancer Trust.
Locally within Glasgow there are two specialist units that provide homely comfort and solace for patients undergoing treatment, one based in the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and one in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. They ensure the best possible quality care is given so that the young person is treated as a young person first and a cancer patient second.
In 2016 Glasgow University Charity Fashion Show aims to give back to our local community and those we can so easily relate to; charitable donations will be invested in the development and maintenance associated with the aforementioned units.
On behalf of everyone at Teenage Cancer Trust: Thank You!
